SMACK Upside The Head

Submitted by Shannon on February 3, 2010 – 10:10 pm6 Comments

I had this wonderful post ready for tonight.

It was entirely bitchy and complainy about this cold, rainy weather, and being tired from endless driving around town for work, and forgetting to wear a good coat, Chase’s feet smelling like a rotting body, and the fact that I haven’t seen my oldest child (other than his rear end on the way in and out the door to his girlfriend’s house) at all lately, and how Jordan asked the Spanish teacher how to say ’small’ in Spanish yesterday and today he went back and asked her how to say ‘balls’ and she apparently got right up in his little face and said, (in English, not Spanish,) “I know what you’re up to with those two words, I better not hear it” and how I cannot convince my husband that we need to put Katy down, and did I mention the rain and horribly, smelly feet?

Yep. Had it all in my head.

Except God has a funny way sometimes of throwing a damn shoe at me like, “You idiot, what the hell are you complaining about?”

When I got online for my nightly surfing, I started with Facebook and saw that my friend Gina’s cousin (who doesn’t look much older than I am in her photo) is off a ventilator. As she struggles with leukemia.

SMACK.

That was all I needed to read tonight. iPod

So yep, I’m tired. And cold.

And Jordan will likely end up in the principal’s office any day now, but at least he can apologize in Spanish. Man, I hope the principal is a HE and not a SHE or we might have some big issues if he starts to practice his new Spanish, now that I think about it.

Other than that, life is just grand.

Message recieved, loud and clear.
