He Is With You.

I few weeks ago, I wrote a post on faith. I received many replies and e-mails about that post.

On one hand, it surprised me, because I never know what (or why) people find what I throw out here interesting. On the other hand faith is universal in some aspect, and perhaps it struck a chord.

Who knows.

This has been a long year. I’m ready to see 2009 off, a month or so early.

I’ll skip the turkey and caroling, I’m ready for some 20-10.

Although we seem to be dodging a lot of curve balls in my family this year, I can say that through every single event, my faith has helped me to remain strong, and that will continue on. There is a certain peace that comes from believing that there is a higher purpose your life.

I don’t think it’s an guarantee of easy days, but there is a peace in knowing that there is a plan and a purpose.

Below is a video from one of my favorite songs, He Is With You, by Mandisa.

I don’t watch American Idol much (I know, I’ll go crawl back under my rock-there are about 4 or 5 of us under there) but apparently, Mandisa was voted off near the end. She has an absolutely amazing, God-given voice, and I believe this song speaks volumes.
